Team 1710 - Community

This year we have made great efforts in reaching out to our community and getting people, especially children, interested in robotics. We used FIRST Lego League and Vex challenge as ways to encourage children around our city to get involved in engineering and robotics. Our program You Go Girl promotes women in the engineering field. To serve our community, we have done bell ringing for the Salvation Army and Adopt-a-Street. We are also a pilot team for FIRST's Green Team's, which we have used to inspire the businesses in our area to be more environmentally friendly.
